Color Mixing

What better way to teach about color mixing then to do the actual experiment yourself?! After reading some fun color mixing books like "Mouse Paint" and "Little Blue and Little Yellow", we did each experiment to see if the book was true! It was so fun! I was surprised to see how well they each listened during this experiment since we did it whole class! I didn't want anyone to start until everyone had their paint drops. And I told the kids to use 2 fingers for each experiment. For the most part they all stayed pretty clean. It was fun watching their reactions to see the colors mix to make new colors. They thought it was magic!
