The Last Week of School! Camping, Graduation, Beach, Pete the Cat, and Dads!

The last week of school was pretty much of blur of activities and tears. We started with a camping theme pretty much just a great excuse to make smores of course! Which is always a huge hit! I love my smores maker machine.

The kids used flashlights to hunt for sight words stars under tables. I tried to make it as dark as possible under there!

They used cotton balls as marshmallows to help them solve make 10 addition problems.

The kids love a good team challenge. They were challenged to build teen number smores by matching the correct pieces together.

We needed to start getting ready for Kindergarten Graduation! We started by making Hollywood Stars, because we would be walking down the red carpet during our ceremony. I painted their hands and then they got to decorate their star and outline it with glitter of course. Then we made graduates and wrote about what we want to be when we grow up!

Graduation went perfect! The kids started by singing "Rise and Shine". I gave them each an individual award of why they are unique and special to me. We watched a picture slideshow of our 180 days together. And then we ate cake!

I thought I did a pretty good job holding it together for the most part lol. They just are so special and so sweet. I hate when the school year ends, but I'm always so proud of them.

We read "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Shell" and then the kids all got to pick one shell and write about it and illustrate it. The challenge was they had to write and draw with such detail that when presenting it on the document camera, that the class would be able to correctly identify the shell they chose. If someone guessed their shell within 2 guesses, they received a gummi bear prize. So fun!

We read "Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes". Adorable book by the way! Afterwards, the kids had to choose a friend to write about pretending they ate their cupcakes! Such a cute activity and fun to watch them share on the document camera. They kept them a secret so nobody knew who stole the cookies until everyone presented.

Last, you can't leave out the dad's just because Father's Day is when school is out! We painted our feet! Lol probably one of the most fun moments ever!
