Pumpkin Palooza on Halloween is my version of a class party! We had 5 parent volunteers come in to help out while the kids rotated through each activity learning something about pumpkins.Our centers included:
1. Does my pumpkin sink or float?
2. How long around is my pumpkin?
3. How many lines are on my pumpkin?
4. How much does my pumpkin weigh?
5. What does the pumpkin pulp feel like?
6. How many pumpkins tall am I?
7. How would I carve a pumpkin?
The kids rotated through each table with their booklet. At each table they had to first guess the answer and then find out the actual answer. Each table only took about 7 minutes each. The whole event took an hour and the kids had a blast. They had no idea how light a pumpkin actual is and that all pumpkins float! And they definitely weren't fans of feeling the pulp. Overall, always a super fun event!
