The 100th Day of School!

How in the world is it the 100th day of school already?! Seriously! The 100th day exhausted me beyond belief lol but the kids seemed to love the day so I guess that's the important thing :) Here are the fun shenanigans that took place today.

We started the day off with a 100 second word writing challenge. They could write any words they knew including their name and they only had 100 seconds to do it! The 3 with the most words got a prize :) I was impressed that 1st place had 17 words.

I think the kids most favorite part had to be the counting to 100 goodies activity. I was so impressed with their listening during this time, because they didn't try to sneak any to eat until we were all done like I had instructed them to! :) They received 10 of each treat: Cocoa Puffs, Fruit Loops, chocolate chips, Skittles, marshmallows, cheeseballs, M&Ms, raisins, gummi bears, and Goldfish crackers. Afterwards, they were so excited to have so many yummy treats that they wanted to save them. So everyone got a ziploc bag to save their goodies in so nobody would have any tummy aches!

Our centers were super fun today also! Usually we only do one center per day, but today we did all 5! I guess my center signs pretty much speak for themselves :)

For this one, they used Q-tips to paint 10 gumballs (dots) into each gumball machine.

For their headbands, they wrote the numbers counting to 100 by 10s on the sentence strip.

I also announced all of the kids that can successfully count to 100 so far this year. I gave them a special certificate and an obviously oversized fake printed $100. They thought it was real money for a second!

And last, I took all of their pictures using the app "Aging Booth" and then projected their pictures on the document camera. They were cracking up but then all upset that they don't really want to look like that or grow old haha. I had to do it first so that they knew it was just for fun and giggles. I sure hope I don't ever look like this lol

HAPPY 100TH DAY!
