We spent over 2 weeks learning about American symbols. Every day we focused on a new symbol and did something hands on to learn about it and then I also made a special daily notebook for the kids that including a reading comprehension page and a coloring page for each symbol. I also made a giant book with pictures and key questions for daily quizzes about each symbol to review what we've learned the day before. OMG the kids loved my little quizzes!
