Santa Came to My Classroom!

I love the day right before any holiday vacation, but my most favorite will always be the day before Christmas break for a couple of reasons. First, I love dressing up as Santa Claus! And I love giving presents! Every year since I started teaching, my family and I have always donated money to my classroom at Christmas in order to make them feel special and give them a couple of things. This year my dad's company donated money so that every child in my classroom received about $150 worth of goodies. It was magical watching them open their presents. I had all kinds of activities planned and a Christmas movie to watch that day, but after I saw the excitement and smiles on my kids' faces as they opened their presents, I just decided to let them be and explore their new stuff. Now to back track a tich...so the day before our Christmas extravanganza, as a class we wrote a letter to Santa in hopes that he'd bring us a present early for such good behavior. We left him cocoa and cookies and the next day we opened the door to this.....
I even got some of my special uppergrade helpers some gifts as well. They got some classroom supplies and some super delicious smores popcorn! They help keep me sane on a daily basis, so I wanted them to feel special as well.
Watchig them all pitch in and write this letter to Santa made me teary! It was so sweet to watch.
Me as Santa!
