Leprechaun Traps!

Looking for an idea on how to make a leprechaun trap?? Check out mine! My kiddos were so creative! And almost every student brought in a trap this year! So excited for the participation also. 

 

I sent home a flyer explaining the activity about 2 weeks prior to St. Patrick's Day. Then as each child brought in their trap, I would hold it for them as they got to share and explain how their trap works to the rest of the class. They were so excited to share and explore each others creations. 

Now for the super fun part...Monday before school is out, I will have each student choose a special spot in the room where they think they will catch a leprechaun. Then after they leave I plan to put little green painted footprints all over the room and on the traps, and I'll leave gold coins and skittles in each trap!! I also have some painted gold rocks that I'll leave in a pot of gold so that everyone can have one.  I can't wait!!
