Earth Day

Earth Day is so important! So it's of course another unit I love to teach! Here are some fun activities we did on Earth Day. 

Painting the Earth and writing about what we will do to take care of the planet. 

Tear art Earth - such a simple activity that is good for fine motor practice and I just love the way they look when they are all done and cut out.

I can recycle activity - build the recycle symbol, glue on recyclables, and write "I can recycle"

I also challenged every student to wear green or blue for Earth Day and bring something to share that has the recycle symbol on it. We sat in a circle and one at a time shared what we brought, what recycle bin it would go in, and pointed to the symbol on our product before passing it around. I loved this activity And so did the kids. 

I love sporting every holiday and was determined to find a recycle symbol shirt to wear! And I find one on fabulous Amazon!
