Rhyming flowers - they chose a rhyming family and we created a garden of rhyming flowers on our bulletin board. I hated sending these home lol I wanted to keep them up all year!
Parts of a flower - to ensure they were remembering the most important parts of a flower, they had to draw one and label the parts.
We also planted grass seeds
To grow into our grass heads! lol
Flower stem experiment - to show the kids how a stem truly works as a straw to feed the entire plant, we added food coloring to their water tubes and checked on our flowers daily until they changed color! They kids were in amazement.
Of course we love making our science posters as we read through non-fiction books
Earth Day addition game and puzzle - the kids had to solve the addition problem and then put together the pieces to reveal the Earth!
