We read "The Golden Egg" book and then wrote about what would be in our golden egg. We also did a crayon resist/watercolor egg to go along with our sentences.

Egg Drop - the kids put a raw egg inside a sandwich bag and then had to use some creativity to design a way for their egg to survive being dropped from the top of a ladder. So fun! And so many great ideas.

After each drop, they would check their egg to see if it survived!

Dyeing Easter eggs - I was surprised to find out that only a handful of my kids had dyed eggs before!

Easter egg hunt - we had over 600 filled eggs donated for our hunt! My mom and dad hid all of the eggs around the playground. I thought it might take awhile for every kid to find about 25 eggs, but it took seconds lol

Easter bunny addition - I gave the kids about 10 eggs and told them to create their own addition sentence to match their eggs. They turned out pretty cute.

Easter Egg writing - the kids were challenged to write a sentence about their egg and then design their own egg. We ended up turning it into a coloring contest and voted on the best looking egg.

We also acted out a cute little rhyme using bunny headbands - "5 Little Bunnies". SO ADORBS

St. Patrick's Day
Lucky rainbows - we did finger paint to make our rainbows and then in each cloud we had to write what makes us lucky. These turned out beautiful!

I love love love doing directed drawings. My kids did GREAT with this leprechaun one.

Leprechaun traps - the kids had to make a leprechaun trap at home. And then we placed them around
at the end of the day in hopes to catch one, but not before everyone had a turn to explain how their trap works. Nobody caught one, but the leprechaun left little green painted foot prints everywhere, left gold glitter all over, and left skittles in each trap! The kids were stoked!
