My 5 Senses Day!

Today was our 5 Senses Exploration Day! It's one of my favorite days every year, because it is just so much fun to watch the kids do hands on investigations and get excited about science. I had 5 centers that the kids rotated through. I was in charge of the taste table and it was so much fun to watch the kids faces as they tried sour, bitter, sweet, savory, and salty things. As each student rotated through the tables they would receive a piece to their headband for completing that table so that by the end of the last rotation all of their headbands were complete and ready for a class picture!

These friends are keeping their eyes closed tight in order to use their sense of touch to guess what's inside the tin!

He is using his sense of smell to try and guess what is inside the jar!
These guys didn't like tasting "sour" foods! They had just tried limes!
