Fun Halloween Homework

My class has been learning about bats this past week so I wanted to create a themed project about bats for their homework. And I have to say that I actually enjoyed grading homework this week! Their projects turned out better than I expected! So creative and wonderful! Here are some of my favorites:
The activity included a poem called, "5 Batty Bats". They were supposed to trace the numbers on the bats and then have their parent read the story while the student colored the pictures to match the story for reading comprehension; for example, the story said that the witch was green, had a purple nose, and black boots. Then the parent was supposed to read it again so that the student could act it out and then retell the story by themself.
