Chromebooks - A Wonderful Resource for Kindergarten

I never thought I'd be able to pull off teaching with Chromebooks...whole class...in kindergarten! But it worked! So far our favorite Chromebook app is; of course, Starfall. At some point I let the kids just freely maneuver their way through Starfall while I walk around and observe. At first, It felt weird not doing anything except walking around offering assistance as needed until I realized what an amazing one-on-one teaching tool the Chromebook can be. I observed the advanced kids opting into the blending/reading part of Starfall and actually trying to read out loud along with it. I observed the struggling kids opt for the basics letter sound portion of the app and I would overhear them repeating the letter name and sound over and over again. This was particularly great for my speech kids. So now I'm on a mission to find more fabulous educational apps for the Chromebook!
