Dental Health Month

This week we are learning about our teeth! I thought the kids have been the most excited ever learning about American symbols, but when I mentioned teeth, they got super excited lol. We started by reading some scholastic magazines focused on our teeth. I love those "Let's Find Out" scholastic magazines. Anyway, all of my centers today focused Around teeth. 

We brushed our yellow teeth clean using real toothbrushes and white paint! They seemed to really enjoy this activity.

 

We sorted healthy foods for our teeth and unhealthy foods for our teeth. 

 

We wrote letters to the tooth fairy.

And then we counted teeth and colored I the correct number. I told the kids they could color the teeth any color. I overheard kids saying, "I colored my teeth blue, because they are blueberries!" Ha so they definitely had some extra creative fun with it. 

Tomorrow I'm going to show them my teeth model! Haha they'll love it I'm sure. I want to demonstrate how to brush and floss your teeth :)

I also want to teach the kiddos the parts of the tooth so hopefully I can squeeze that in tomorrow also!
