Easter Egg Shenanigans

Easter snuck up on me this year! We enjoyed leprechaun activities for a week and then moved on to Easter fun! Here are a few of my fave activities from this week!

One of my favorite projects was our Easter egg crayon resist. They started with crayon, then watercolor paint, glued it to a color in their egg, and then wrote a sentence about their egg. I just love these! They were pretty excited to do their writing piece after we read the book "The Golden Egg".

I just love directed drawing and so do the kids. We drew the Easter bunny!

We also dyed Easter eggs!! We got enough donated so that each student got to dye 4 eggs! I loved seeing their faces filled with excitement dyeing eggs.

We also had an Easter egg hunt! I've never tried this before so this year was a first and a success! I asked for each student to bring at least 10 plastic eggs filled with goodies. Thankfully, some parents went above and beyond with the donations and we had almost 300!

Afterwards, I let the kids each open 1 egg until we had more time later to open them all. It was so fun!
