-ug rhyming flowers
The kids used the letter cards to help them create rhyming words for their petals. This was fun to see them using their resources and each other.
Parts of a plant project
Finger painting flower addition
Parts of a flower labeling and illustrating. Probably the most simple thing we did, but their illustrations turned out so cute. They each really took their time making sure their picture had a flower, leaves, stem, and roots.
We also did a white rose experiment to show the kids how the stem works as a straw. They found this fascinating!
And then we planted flower seeds and grass seeds. We drew faces on the grass cups so that when the grass grows it'll make our silly faces have long green hair! I'll have to post an updated picture after they grow.
And we read books everyday in order to add new information to our posters.
And we made addition stories using flowers.
We also wanted to do some creative writing and write about what we would grow with magic seeds!
And next week we are going to make flowers using toilet paper rolls!
